The platform

Purpose-built for everyday use.

Kapul is a Code4genius transport platform designed to connect passengers with private drivers and transport companies travelling their route across Kenya. It brings journey discovery, seat requests and transport operations into a shared digital service.

Passengers can browse journeys by route and travel date, review trip details and request seats. Drivers manage vehicles, publish journeys and respond to booking requests. Company and branch workspaces support fleet records, scheduled journeys and booking coordination, including walk-in bookings.

The project includes a Laravel web application and API, alongside a Flutter mobile application for passenger and driver workflows. Administrative tools support provider approval, user management, operational reporting and SOS review. Public launch availability has not yet been confirmed; the preview shows the current development interface, including illustrative journey and usage figures.

Why it matters

Real-world value.

Kapul is designed to make transport options easier to discover and booking requests easier to coordinate. Bringing passengers, drivers and operators into one service can help connect travel demand with available seats and reduce fragmented booking administration.

For transport businesses, the platform is intended to create clearer oversight of vehicles, branches, journeys and passenger bookings. These are intended benefits based on the reviewed implementation; passenger numbers, geographic coverage and measured operating outcomes will be published when verified.
